EP 17: The Process of Finding Yourself with Sara Spaulding
In Episode 17, we hear from the gorgeous go-getter Sara Spaulding. Sara has been a friend of mine, well, more like a sister, for several years now and I can attest to the fact that she is completely in alignment with her purpose and has found herself. Something that far too few can say they’ve achieved. Finding yourself is a lifelong journey as we grow and evolve but at this stage of her life, she’s far beyond where most 26 year olds would be because she’s taken the time to tap into herself and explore many options.
The process of doing so was no small task but ambitious Sara has never shy’d away from substantial goals. Her bio will explain it better than I could. As it stands today, Sara is a social media micro influencer, real estate investor, and is also building a very successful e-commerce business and helping over 130 people do the same. She’s a dog mom to a German shepherd (who is famous on instagram, check her out here), is traveling the world with her soulmate and just signed a modeling and acting contract with Wilhelmina Denver.
See what I mean? She’s ambitious and multifaceted.
Being multifaceted comes with its pros and cons. Adding incredible outward beauty to that, although a gift, attracts many opportunities; not all of which are positive.
In this episode, Sara shares her entire story. She shares the peaks & the valleys, the vulnerabilities behind an eating disorder, being open to the wrong men, pursuing a professional soccer career that left her under the knife not once, but twice, and what it’s like to lose your business after 8 years of building it.
You’ll notice one recurring theme: She. Does. Not. Quit. EVER.
She’s had plenty of reasons to give up on her dreams and had it not been for values instilled in her by her parents from a young age, she might have. But quitting isn’t in her DNA. She’s a fighter. She’s someone who pursues what sets her soul on fire and with one of the most positive attitudes and outlooks I’ve ever encountered.
And as any good leader would do, she leaves us with ways that you can also find yourself.
To Sara: Thank you. Thank you for your vulnerability, your humor, your kind and open heart. For giving people second, third, and fourth chances. For being an example of strength, compassion, and GRIT to young women all over the world. Love you girly!
