EP 05: Coping with Deployment as a Mom of 3 under 5
In Episode 5, we hear from Brooke Rutherford, a young Army wife to her husband Clay and mom of their three babies under the age of 5. At the time of this recording, Clay is serving overseas on his second deployment since 2016 and Brooke is home with their three kids. Did I mention they’re under the age of 5?! Brooke shares difficult moments of what its like saying goodbye to her husband and how while he’s gone she grieves the loss of time and memories that he’ll never get back. Throughout this episode she’ll drop lessons learned from the first deployment that has made this one endurable. The tips she shares and strategies she has put in place are golden nuggets for anyone, not just a military spouse, especially during this uncertain time of COVID-19.
