EP 11: “I’ve Failed Again…” How a Mom of 3 Copes with Three Miscarriages
Finding Hope After Loss
In Episode 11, we hear from Jess Partlow, a teacher, a crafter, a wife and mom of three as she shares her story of the joys of becoming a mom only to be devastated by miscarriages. Not just one, or two, but three miscarriages over the course of a few years. For Jess and Adam, becoming parents started off with two easy pregnancy journeys with their first two boys. However, after that, for some unknown reason, complications arose and having their third baby came after two sorrowful miscarriages. Excited to bring their vision of a big family to fruition, they try for a fourth with hopeful anticipation only to be broken by a third miscarriage in September of 2019.
In this episode, Jess gets real with us. She doesn’t hold back the tears; she lets her true emotion show while going through the highs and lows of this journey with us. She shares the intimate thoughts and doubts that raced through her mind… Is it safe to be hopeful? Has she let her husband down? What did she do wrong? Do they try again? What if they experience more loss… are they strong enough to endure that? Through it all, she’s found ways to cope and shares them with us on this episode. Listen to hear how it’s brought her husband closer than ever and a miracle end to her story. Thank you Jess, for vulnerably sharing your story with graceful transparency.
It’s our hope that other moms and future moms will hear her story and feel less alone in their journey.
